Habits That Might Change Your Life
According to Wikipedia The American Journal of Psychology defines a “habit, from the standpoint of psychology, [as] a more or less fixed way of thinking, willing, or feeling acquired through previous repetition of a mental experience.”
Wake Up Early
Some of my friends find it weird that I wake up around 6 am every day but I feel like it gives me a lot of time to get my work done before noon and then have the rest of the day all to myself. I naturally wake up early for some reason. It might be hard to get started but just try going to bed even 10 minutes earlier than usual and see what difference it made in your life.
Making Food At Home
Making Food At Home this is something that doesn’t apply a lot to me because I have always eaten at home. I barely go out to eat but I know some of my friends go out like every day to eat. It’s understandable if you have a busy life but whenever you get time, you should try meal prepping maybe over the weekends or at the end of the day so you save money on the food and eat healthier. “I have learned that champions aren’t just born; champions can be made when they embrace and commit to life-changing positive habits.”
Reading makes us educated on things that we don’t know. There are so many things in this world that we should at least get exposure to. I strongly encourage you to start small with a topic that interests you like fashion, minimalism, animals, pandemics, lifestyle, and look up things about them to learn more. It does not have to be a book. It can be articles, magazines or newspapers …whatever that interests you.
Why not take advantage of it? By getting used to working out at home, you will build discipline and self-control that you don’t need to go anywhere to work out. I feel like making excuses like, not being able to go to the gym, not having equipment is not always valid. Since you don’t need equipment to move your body. You can just go on a simple walk around the neighborhood. Notice the difference it makes on your mood and your physical state. I like to use an app to track my steps and it pays me to walk. Yes, it pays me to walk! It’s called, Sweatcoins. I highly suggest that you try it out. I still haven’t reached my goal yet but every day I am getting closer and closer to the goal. I am not 100% certain that it will work or not but doesn’t hurt to try.
Avoid Your Phone
I am totally guilty of this. Sometimes, I pick up my phone for no reason. It’s probably because I have nothing better to do. I want to lessen the amount of time I am on my phone with a hobby or do something that will add value to my life. I feel like setting up restrictions of apps is a great way to start. some of my hobbies are coloring, painting, knitting, dancing, writing, and photography. The age of technology comes with its advantages and disadvantages.
BE INTENTIONAL (With Money, Time, Relationships)
Being intentional with the things that we do every day brings a purpose. When we have a purpose, it makes things much more meaningful and significant. There are so many different ways you can be intentional. Find a way to step out of your comfort zone and do things that you really want to do. Talk about important things with your friends and family that matters to you. Spend money wisely. Don’t just blow it all out. Invest in relationships that bring you joy or let go relationships that don’t.
This is really important because unexpected things happen all the time. There are just some things that we can’t control and that’s okay. You may have faced failures or have things happen to you the way you didn’t want it to. Please don’t over analyze or worry about it because it will most likely make you feel worse. Leave it in the past and be happy that tomorrow is another day and you can try again. Things happen for a reason and that thing that didn’t work out might have been for the better. Our past made what we are today. think about all the lessons you have learned and how much you have grown. Be proud of that.
